WINTER APPLE CAKE

I have more than enough apples at home. Mostly grandmas always give me a sufficient amount. Even though I totally love cream cheese, I decided for something simple. The cake suprised me how fluffy it is and how all flavors match together.

The preparation is really quick so if you want something what is done quickly between lunch and afternoon tea, this apple cake is an excellent choice.

Ingredients:
300 g semi-fine flour
250g butter
4 eggs
150 g caster sugar
spoon of vanilla sugar
teaspoon of cinnamon
spoon of baking powder
about 100 ml of milk (you can add more or less, depending on the dough)

About 5 small apples, scraped and cored.

raisins, 50 g butter and 50 g almond slices for garnish

Preparation:
First whip the butter with sugar for about 3 minutes. Then add the flour mixed with baking powder, vanilla sugar and cinnamon. Add flour mixture and eggs to whipped butter. In conclusion, pour in the milk.

Cut apples into quarters and cut a bit the top, as you see in the photo.

Put the dough on a baking sheet, place apples on the top of it and finally spread apples with melted butter and sprinkle with raisins and almonds.

Bake in hot oven at 160 degrees for about 40-50 minutes.
