With the approaching summer, I love to have a simple dinner. Bread is almost a daily part of my food habits. Even with ordinary baguette, you can make true magic. I prefer the Italian cuisine, so I am running around Prague and browsing through specialized stores (Wine Food Market, Little Italy, La Formaggeria Gran Moravia and others). I could eat sendwiches over and over again, and today's dinner was just a foodporn!
Preparation is really quick and you do not need any enormous amount of ingredients.
Ingredients:
baguette
2 tomatoes
tablespoons of olive oil
Italian seasoning herbs (I have a mixture from Marks and Spencer)
2 tablespoons of ricotta
teaspoon of butter
4 slices of prosciutto
fresh cheese
olives and pecorino cheese for decorating
I bought baguette, olives, pecorino with peppers and prosciutto at Wine Food Market. I had to try it that olive baguette. Olives were green Bella di Cerignola. I bought ricotta in La Formaggeria, as well as butter and fresh cheese.
Preparation:
I will not describe how to cut a baguette:) Just cut tomatoes into slices, put into a bowl, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with spices and place in oven for 10 minutes at 180 degrees. Meanwhile, spread with baguette according to your taste, Iput on one baguette baked ricotta with tomato and the other baguette spreaded with butter, fresh cheese and prosciutto. In the dnd, bake baguettes for the next 5-10 minutes in the oven and then decorate them with olives and pecorino and all done.
tasty
tomatoes before I put them into the oven
olives are great supplement
fresh tomatoes baked in oven are more tasty than those dried
Here you see how crazy I'm when it comes to selecting raw materials and I am able to go through Prague to get them. I am enjoying these purchases and love for discovering new places. An Italian cuisine is my absolute winner!
Which food is your weakness during the summer months?
