This is such a classic cake which is popular in our family for quite some time. I would define it as an American pie with a little bit of Czech touch. I eat apple every day and I like them in the form of pies and cakes also.
400 g of fine flour
150 g of granulated sugar
2 spoons of vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon of baking powder
2 eggs
180 g of butter
pinch of cardamom
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of salt
Apple filling:
about 5 large apples
80 g of granulated sugar
1 teaspoon of rum
1 egg
1 vanilla pudding powder
Poppy filling:
300 g of poppy seeds
5 tablespoons of powdered sugar
milk if needed (I used approx 150 ml)
Curd filling:
250 g of curd or cream cheese
250 g of mascarpone
100 ml of milk
1 egg
5 tablespoons of grnaulated sugar
juice from one lemon
For the dough, mix extra wet and dry ingredients. Then put it together and make nice smooth dough by hands. Roll out into three pieces - the bottom of the cake, a thin layer on the top and side up.
Cut the apples into thin slices and mix them with the remaining ingredients for apple filling.
Put the poppy seed in a saucepan with the sugar and milk and slowly warm it up. Let it cool.
All the ingredients for curd filling mix in a bowl until the mixture is smooth.
Put all the parts together, you can modify the order. Bake at 170 degrees for 50 minutes.
