San Diego is located in southern California. Everyone who loves beaches and mexican food will fall in love with the city.

I spent one day in San Diego. I went through the city center, visited station Santa Fe a mainly, I could not miss the beach! As you are approaching the ocean, you will feel more and more relaxed because of the Californian atmosphere. If you love to surf, you will love it here.

What you should not miss in San Diego?

  • beaches - do I need to say something? Really?
  • Sea World - just watch the beauty of dolphins
  • USS Midway Museum - aka Navy and its history
  • Gaslamp Quarter - what else to do in the evening after beach, besides visitng this close quarter?
  • Old Town - a must see in every city and you must try some mexican food here!
  • Harbor Cruise - who would resist a nice boat?
  • Fort Rosecrans Cementery- I visit cementery in every city.. try it!

This city is strongly influenced by Mexico. As a result, their culture and atmosphere is totally different than in San Francisco. And you will appreciate it especially if you take the typic Californian road trip. Big waves wash the endless coastline. You can relax the whole day on the beach or visit one of the attractions. In San Diego, everyone is running, so you might go as well take your sneakers in the morning or in the evening. Soon you will feel more like a local and not so touristic.

Shopping in San Diego cannot be missed. I just caught the sales at Victoria's Secret, but you will satisfy yourself even in the period without sales.

Last visit may be maybe the park Torry Pines. And most importantly, do not hurry anywhere and enjoy.
