ROMANTIC ESCAPE IN FLORENCE

Florence can offer you much more than the statue of David. Beautiful architecture, many historical places and specialty in form of Gucci museum. It also offers pasta and Italian gelato. I went out with a friend for the weekend. It was warm and spring was just approaching. When I am in France, I love their pastries which are on every corner. In Italy, I love pasta and I could not miss it. A croissant for a breakfast with coffee and bruschetta with pasta for lunch. Ice-cream satisfied my cravings in the afternoon.  I'd travel all the time. Check out the photos that speak for themselves.

Must-do in Florence

History. The Basilica of San Miniato al Monte is a basis. Then the Cupola del Brunelleschi with a breath-taking view and the Piazzale Michelangelo, where you will see pure beauty. Missing the famous David statue would be a sin, so make sure to visit the Piazza della Signoria. Italy has very nice churches so visit the St. Mark's Anglican Church. And of course the Piazza del Duomo. 

Foodie tour de Florence. Taste some pizza and pasta. And gelato. Amazing ice-cream is at the Gelateria Santa Trinita and pasta and all Italian at the Pescheria San Pietro. 

Italian espresso. Or a cappuccino. 

Evening walk. Which place is charming in the night? Certainly the Ponte Vecchio. 

Italian fashion. Whenevr you are, you will see a lot of shops. I prefer the small ones where you can find real treasures. Imagine, Italian leather and jewellery. 

Rent a car. And have a trip around Tuscany. Visit at least one wine cellar and taste red wine. 

Feel the atmosphere of farmer´s markets. An italian market is worth seeing. 

Arty afternoon. I always enjoy museums. I recommend for example the Galleria dell' Academia, where you find pieces from the 13th and 16th century and Michelangelo has his pieces there as well.
