HOMEMADE WHOLE WHEAT BREAD

I was making a homemade bread about a year ago. Then I discovered the magic of fresh bread, bagels and other pastry so I started experimenting. This is a basic recipe to which you can add some nuts, raisins, oatmeal, you can also change the type of flour if you wish. You will be surprised  by the freshness and fluffiness that bought bread will never have. And everything with the oven, bread machine is not required.

Homemade bread is quite simple and quick thing to do. I usually use a combination of whole weat and classic flour, but you can also use spelled, which is unique for its nutty flavor and contains a lot of magnesium and vitamins B. Being health consicous!

For one bread you will need:
cube of yeast + 2 tablespoons of warm milk to yeast
2 cups of fine flour
3 cups of whole wheat flour
teaspoon of salt
teaspoon of granulated sugar
2 1/2 cup of warm water
tablespoons of vinegar
you can add: nuts, oats, raisins, poppy seeds, caraway seeds, herbs, pickled tomatoes, etc.

Preparation:
First of all, prepare the leaven of the yeast, sugar and milk. I give it about 30 minutes and in the meantime, I prepare the rest of ingredients.

In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, add yeast, vinegar and gradually add water. Cover the dough with a napkin and let it rise for about 50-60 minutes.

Preheat oven to 220 degrees. Flatten the dough and knead it. If it is too sticky, stir in a little flour. Create a loaf from the dough and bake firstly for five minutes at a high temperature and then reduce to 170 degrees. Bake the bread for 45-50 minutes.

How do you like your bread served the most? I can guarantee that if you make this farmers breakfast with egg, butter and some green onions, you will not regret it!

FINAL TIPS:
  • Never cut the bread warm
  • Let the yeast rise in a warm place
  • Never pour the butter hot into the dough
  • Ideally prepared dough is stiffer and sticks to the bowl
